DIET has opened a full-fledged Placement & Training Cell both in Kolkata & DIET campus under the supervision of three TPO Mr Subhasis Biswas. The college provides special training for the students of 2nd, 3rd & 4th year for the development of the various skills like Soft Skill (Aptitude, HR, GD, PI etc), English Communication Skill etc required for employability enhancement.

Realizing the importance of placement, DIET keeps liaison with various industries, more than 80% of the 2011, 2012 & 2013 batches have already got lucrative jobs in different sectors.


Training Programme

Educational training is the backbone of career of a student to be placed in a reputed company. Practical training for engineering students is an integral part of the curriculum and in-built into the programs of study. The students are introduced to industrial practices through training program.
Here soft skills lab, advance computing lab, all time internet & career guidance support the students to prepare for exams like CAT/MAT/GATE. These programs help students by augmenting their chances for better placement.
The college also has infrastructure for industrial training in ERP, VLSI, GIS, Embedded software, J2EE, .NET etc. Every computer has linux environmental facilities. The college has a Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR), which interacts with corporate on a regular basis and arranges for students placements.
